A field experiment was conducted during the spring season of 2025 at the Extension Station in Abi Gharaq / Al-Muhanawiya. The study aimed to evaluate the effect of the interaction between different genera of mycorrhizal fungi and phosphorus levels on nutrient availability, methodology . Zea mays L maiowth, and yield ofgr The treatments included Mycorrhizal Inoculants: Two types were used, denoted as M1 (Gigaspora spp.) and M2 (Glomus mosseae).Fungal Inoculum (A): Applied at three levels (0, 10, and 50 g).Phosphorus (P): Applied at three levels (0, 100, and 200 kg/ha).The experiment followed a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with a tri-factorial arrangement and three replicates.
Key Results The results demonstrated significant differences between treatments in their ability to enhance soil nutrient availability and stimulate maize growth.
The M2 (Glomus mosseae) treatment significantly outperformed the M1 (Gigaspora spp.) and the control treatment across all studied traits.
The triple interaction of mycorrhiza, fungal inoculum, and phosphorus yielded the best results.
Specifically, the combination M2A2P2 achieved a significant increase in infection intensity, bacterial populations, available nitrogen, available phosphorus, available potassium, and plant height compared to the control treatment.
